Authentic masculine virtue

I read a great article from the CatholicGentleman about masculine virtue particularly as it is portrayed in Tolkein’s characters of the Lord of the Rings. It made me reflect on the fact that one of the ways we have been led astray by modernity is in thinking that the opposite of masculine is feminine. These are not opposites, but rather two sides of the same coin; the coin of virtue. The opposite of masculine (and feminine) is vice, and failing to follow the calling of our true self.
